Remember those sleepless nights of tossing and turning, and listening to the tick-tock with a sense of foreboding? It is possibly easier to understand this if we are to look at it differently – think of someone poking you or applying pressure on you as you try to sleep! Rashes have many potential causes. Some mattresses are made using chemicals that are not skin friendly, and these chemicals can cause headaches, blotchy eyes, and rashes. Allergens and bacteria infest mattresses that cause skin issues as well. While the proper selection of the right mattress material and upkeep can keep the rashes at bay, certain materials like foam can be naturally mite free.

Now, time to select the right mattress if you have any of these nighttime annoyances! There is a wide range from a soft memory foam mattress to a firm coir mattress. If you want comfort as well as firmness, go for a combination of both. You can also opt for a little springiness to your bed with different kinds of spring constructions – while a pocket spring mattress gives you a bouncier bed, a Bonnell spring mattress is right for you if you need firmness. Keep the fabric in mind and also the overall construction, the use of supporting materials, etc.
